The Clown fish feeds on small invertebrates, which could otherwise from the sea anemone, and the fecal matter from the Clown fish provides nutrient loss to the sea-anemone. Clown fish are omnivorous: in the wild they eat live food such as algae, plankton, molluscs, crustaceans and, in captivity they can survive on live food, fish flakes, and fish pellets.The diet of the clownfish also copepods, mysids, isopods, zooplankton and undigested food from their host anemones.  

 

The most common home for the Clown fish is one of the tentacles of the anemone. It is a strange quirk of nature that little clown fish is able to live without being plagued by the tentacles of the Anemone. The fish uses the Anemone to save it from predators. The fish continuously loops through the waving tentacles of the Anemone and moves all the time. It is assumed that the Clown fish a kind of slime around the body that helps it withstand the Anemone's stabbing develops. 

 

The Clown fish is dependent on the sea-anemone for his daily bread. After Anemone paralyzes and eats a fish, the Clown fish eaten polish the remaining bits and pieces. In exchange, the Clown fish helps the anemone tentacles free from dead by eating them. Clown fish also helps the food to get through the bright colors to lure unsuspecting fish in the vicinity of the Anemone. This symbiotic relationship makes the Clown fish one of the most curious creatures in the water.  

 

Educating Clown fish in aquariums have met with spectacular success. It is not necessary for the Clown fish to keep its host anemone. It is difficult to care for the Anemone. The different types of Clown fish should not be mixed. They are generally very quiet, but may become territorial and fight. When they are born, all Clown fish are men. As they grow, the major change in the feminine gender, and the fish will be the primary defender of the territory.
